More Soft Tissue Found in Ancient Fossil
Muscle tissue and circulatory vessels filled with blood discovered
in "eighteen-million-year-old" salamander fossil.
SUMMARY: Soft tissue has been found in a salamander fossil said to be "18
million years old," researchers from Ireland, the UK, and Spain have reported.
The scientists say their discovery is unequivocal evidence that high-fidelity
organic preservation of extremely decay prone soft tissues is common in the
fossil record.
Previous examples of soft tissue in fossils has been taken from amber or inside
bone, but the latest discovery was found tucked in beside the spine of the
salamander. The muscle tissue was discovered during an analysis of hundreds
of fossil samples taken from an ancient lake bed in southern Spain, Dr. Patrick
Orr from the University College, Dublin reports.
The researchers noticed very little degradation in the sample since it was
originally fossilized "18 million" years ago, making it "the highest quality soft
tissue preservation ever documented in the fossil record." The muscle tissue
is organically preserved in three dimensions with circulatory vessels filled with
blood. Using the same sampling methods and high resolution imaging that led
to this latest discovery, the scientists will now investigate other existing fossils
in museums and elsewhere for similar types of soft tissue preservation.

COMMENT: First it was soft tissue found in a Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil at
least “65 million years old” followed later by soft tissue discovered in a
hadrosaur or duckbilled dinosaur. Then it was a soft ink sac actually still
containing liquid ink found in a “150-million-year-old” squid. Now it is more
soft tissue uncovered from an “18-million-year-old” salamander, with the
promise of more such discoveries to come.
There are only three possible explanations that have been given for these
findings: 1. the tissue really isn't what it appears to be (with the additional
research this answer is losing credibility); 2. an unknown natural process can
preserve soft tissue for millions of years (this bit of wishing thinking flies in
the face of laboratory evidence); and 3. the soft tissue and the sedimentary
rock encasing it can't be more than a few thousand years old (such an idea
would require a major rewriting of evolutionary history and theory). To the
unbiased observer, only explanation number 3 seems reasonable.
Secular scientists cannot take the reasonable route because that would cast
into doubt the old ages that are required for the theory of evolution to retain
the appearance of any legitimacy at all. Their credibility and perhaps their
careers depend upon keeping Darwin’s theory alive. Most people may be
fooled into believing a single-celled organism could evolve into a human if
given millions of years to do it, but I doubt even the most naive person would
accept that scenario happening in only a few thousand years.
Satan’s attempts to persuade people to give up their faith in God’s Word are
meeting with some formidable roadblocks lately, for which we can praise the
Lord. However, if evolutionists really want long ages, they can have long ages
beyond their wildest dreams. By confessing their sins and believing in Jesus
as their Savior from sin, they, and everyone else, can have an age that never
ends, a wonderful everlasting life in heaven. That will make billions of years
seem like a millisecond in comparison.

Systolic and diastolic numbers rise about 5
millimeters for every 25-degree drop in

greatest in people over the age of 80.
