Part 3 Skeptics Exposed to the Gospel
Part 4 Ministry Considerations Regarding Creation
Appendix:Examples of Creation Arguments by WELS Authors
What then, is the proper place of reason in defending the Christian faith? What are proper and improper ways to defend the faith? Is there benefit in telling a Christian about the scientific problems with evolution? Is there benefit in telling an unbeliever about the scientific problems with evolution? This treatise addresses these questions from Scripture (the sole source of all true doctrine), shows supporting quotations from confessional Lutheran authors, looks at biblical examples where Jesus and his apostles used arguments from reason, and considers various ministry applications.
Description
If anyone should know the evidence for evolution, it should be Gould. In an article for Discover magazine, he offered three pieces of evidence for evolution. Despite his obvious scientific acumen, his arguments were not only philosophically illogical but contrary to the available evidence and his own writing.

Critique of B.C. Johnson's Atheist Debater's Handbook. "While there will continue to be skeptical arguments against the possibility of divine design, this essay has shown that, despite the appeal to common sense, a large portion of skeptics' arguments simply have no logical appeal."

Review - Ben Stein's Expelled - No Intelligence Allowed Review by Jeffrey Stueber
I still find this movie useful, but it must be considered when bracketed with some of the more critical sites I mention above. What this movie also reveals is that evolutionists would be wise to not appear on camera in a movie that is willing to ask whether evolution is really true.

Review of Larry Witham's "By Design: Science and the Search for God" (San Francisco, Encounter Books, 2003)
Witham's book is a tremendous account of the scientific changes that drove evolutionist beliefs and the scientific finds that propelled theories of intelligent design. Hence, we find a dialogue between the two and it is no longer fashionable to speak of science as if it stands in opposition to religion. Science, it seems, confirms the theologian, and, as Witham points out, evolutionists no longer feels as certain about their victory over God as they did when Julian Huxley announced that Darwin had banished God from reality.

Creationist Scientist and His Famous Computer Program
Review of an article in the 6/16/97 U.S. News & World Report.
Excerpt: "it was a pleasant surprise to see a major secular news magazine recently give an even-handed treatment to a creationist scientist from New Mexico. The June 16, 1997 U.S. News & World Report, in an article entitled "The Geophysics of God" gives an account of the work of one John Baumgardner. It seems that Baumgardner, "the world’s pre-eminent expert in the design of computer models for geophysical convection," created a powerful new computer program called Terra."

John West, Darwin Day in America, and Benjamin Wiker, Darwinism in America Review by Jeffrey Stueber Published 2008
Excerpt: Those alien to these issues will be surprised at how prevalent evolutionism was before Darwin
Excerpt: This reasoning makes perfect sense in a Darwinian world. If we are merely programmed to act by our genes and environment, then free choice is a myth. Hence, we can cure people of their bad choices by finding what causes them to act like they do. When we change their environment they will act correctly.

Books Creationists Should Own -David Stove’s Darwinian Fairytales; article by Jeffrey Stueber
Stueber writes: Evolution by natural selection, Stove says, is a general theory that applies to all species including humans, and if it is not true of humans it is not true. Stove is also blunt in noting that if Darwin’s theory were true, the human race would never exist and does so only because, contrary to Darwinian belief, cooperation was always stronger than competition.

Review - Finding Darwin's God by Jeffrey Stueber Review of Kenneth Miller’s book, "Finding Darwin‘s God."
This book is a stern rebuke to the intelligent-design community, which is gaining headway among the educational establishment, fellow scientists, theologians, and many youth. Miller seeks to debunk I.D. and reaffirm naturalistic evolution while installing theistic evolution as God’s chosen method of creating.

Review - Saudi Arabia's Jabal Al Lawz--Is It the Real Mt. Sinai? Review by Warren Krug (March / April, 2006) The Search for the Real Mt. Sinai, DVD
As every Sunday school teacher and student knows, Mount Sinai, the mountain on which God in flame and smoke delivered the Ten Commandments to Moses, is located in the southern portion of the Sinai peninsula. At least, that’s what Bible maps show, and they can’t be wrong, can they?
Description
What the video does is show that people who believe in evolution can’t necessarily give answers to simple questions about their beliefs. Often they demonstrate that their beliefs are based on faith in teachers or scientists who are presumed to have those answers. These “experts” do not have those answers, though, and faith in them is nothing but a cop-out and excuse to evade thinking about questions about creation and evolution.

The Flood in the Light of the Bible, Geology, and archaeology by Dr. Alfred M. Rehwinkel 1968/1951 by CPH
How can we explain the coming together of all the animals and birds from all parts of the world at one time? How was it possible for eight people to feed and provide drink for all the different animals in the Ark for over a year? How was it possible for them to clean the Ark? Where did all the water come from? Is there actually enough water on our planet to cover the entire earth? What became of all the water when the Flood subsided? Did the Flood waters rise to an elevation to cover such lofty heights as Pike's Peak, Mount Everest, Mount McKinley?
